Z-016 Chair is a dining chair designed by Zidni Ilman Naafia, an Interior Design Student of Indonesian Institute of Art Surakarta. The design is actually based on the shape of the Hawk’s Beak, which has a firm shape and sharp downward curves at the edge of it, and functioned to shred its prey’s meat. The Hawk’s Beak represents the firmness, sharpness, and the top of the food chain power.
This chair is made out of 3 kind of material, Stainless Steel Pipe for the chassis, and combination of Teak Wood and Rattan Web for its seat and backrest. The name of Z-016 itself was chosen because it is the 16th design to be sketched by Zidni himself.
